At the press conference before the Spain-Brazil match tomorrow morning, forward Vinicius broke down in tears as he repeatedly had to answer questions about racial discrimination.

Following their 1-0 victory against England, the Brazilian national team will be visiting Spain for their final friendly match of the month. At the press conference before the match, Vinicius was the player chosen by coach Dorival Junior to accompany him in the interviews.
Vinicius has been playing in Spain for Real Madrid since 2018. In the land of the bullfight, the 23-year-old forward has continuously faced criticism regarding his skin color. Therefore, reporters took advantage of this detail to repeatedly ask Vinicius questions about racial discrimination.
However, a mishap occurred during the interview. Vinicius became too emotional when answering these questions and tears began to fall. "I'm sorry, everyone. I just want to play, do everything for the team and my family. I never want to see black people suffer. I just want to play football. But there have been times when I thought about giving up...," Vinicius sobbed.
Everyone in the press room applauded to encourage Vinicius. After regaining his composure, the Brazilian forward said, "I have never thought about leaving Spain because that's what the racists want. I won't leave the best club in the world. I will always be strong because I have the President and the club supporting me."
Racial discrimination, with Vinicius being a prime example, has always been a nagging issue in La Liga. Last May, the 23-year-old winger got into an argument with a Valencia supporter after being called a "monkey." Vinicius cried and left the pitch in anger due to the incessant jeers from the Mestalla stands.
This season, also in an away game against Valencia, Vinicius was continuously targeted by opposing fans regarding his skin color. Most recently, Atletico Madrid fans chanted "Vinicius is a little monkey" during the Champions League match against Inter Milan, even though the former Flamengo star did not participate in that match.
